REVERSE ENGINEERING

Reverse engineering of blades and vanes in Pumori-Energy

Pumori-Energy helps to replace foreign blades and vanes with Russian analogues

One of our company’s key activities is reverse engineering of blades and vanes.

This is a globally common approach to design drafting based on a finished specimen product.

Reverse engineering means rethinking and realignment of the technique and processes of development of turbine blades and vanes, as well as making items for existing mechanisms. It also deals with improvement of materials used for these items in order to add new functions, raise productivity and wear-resistance.

Reverse engineering

In recent years, import substitution and import dependency has been becoming one of the liveliest topics. The issues of import substitution in the economy are, in the light of today’s geopolitical conditions of an aggravating situation in foreign policy and international economy are very pressing.

Reverse engineering of blades and vanes makes it possible to design, within a relatively tight schedule, an analogue of products used in equipment not produced in our country (or manufactured in comparatively small quantities) and imported from abroad.

With the aid of reverse engineering, Pumori-Energy designs products with consumptive qualities not worse than those of the original specimens, and sometimes even superior to them in certain performance parameters.

In the process of reverse engineering, we take blades or vanes of various turbines, carry out measurements, and make 3D models. Then our engineers prepare necessary drawings and CNC programs.

In this way, Pumori-Energy re creates blades and vanes of Russian  and foreign-made turbines when the drawings are lacking and the object itself is impossible to fetch.
